BHPC observes the Lord's Supper weekly. We invite all professing Christians whose membership is in good standing with an evangelical, Bible-believing congregation to join with us at the Lord's Table. If you desire to partake of the Supper, please contact one of the elders for a short interview. You may do this prior to Sunday through the church office or via email, or arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the morning worship service. If you have not been interviewed, we ask that you refrain from taking the Supper.

A Few Notes About Our Services
* If you are visiting with us today, please help us to get to know you by filling out one of the blue cards in the pew racks and placing it in the offering plate when the offering is collected.
* When the prelude begins, please curtail conversation and prepare your hearts for worship. Please make sure electronic devices are off or using silent mode.
* We love children in our worship services! For our parents, there is a Cry Room in the back of the sanctuary for calming children in order to return to the worship service. We also offer a Visitors' Nursery for children 3 and under. If you wish to utilize it, please speak with the greeter for directions.
* Hearing assistance devices are available at the taping table.
* If you should need assistance in any way, please speak with our greeter.

*Our elders have their monthly Session meeting this Wednesday at 6 PM in Sunday School Room 3. Please see Ruling Elder Mike Rogers, Clerk of Session, if you have a matter for the Session's discussion.
*The Women in the Church (WIC) will have a business meeting this Wednesday at 7 PM in Sunday School Room 4. All women are invited. Please bring your calendars (Copy to your calendar).
*Don't forget our Neighborhood Outreach Concert Series! Our next concert is Wednesday, July 1, at 7:30 PM at the bandstand in Union Park, SW 6th & I Ave (Copy to your calendar).

Corporate Confession of Sin:

God,
You know how prone we are to cleanse the outside of the cup. We know the destiny of the good Pharisee. Yet we pride ourselves on how clean and moral we are in comparison to others. We even congratulate ourselves on our outward piety. But such is wickedness and iniquity, for our true goal has not been the honor of Your name. Rather we have been self consumed and we have sought by our ethical theatrics the applause of men.

O, what do we see when we open the cavity of our chest? Is it not rank putrefaction? Does not the evil that resides there compare to an aged tomb? Father, we confess that these hearts of ours are still so filled with dead men’s bones. We acknowledge that this is the only place in the world where death is active, and ever so lively.
Father, we know that You find it even more foul than we do; for You see it as it is and its odor rises before You day and night. It is for this reason we seek Your favor. We want You to forgive us, O God. Forgive us for using religion as a means of gaining recognition and concerning ourselves so much with externals only. And forgive us for being so deluded and failing to recognize the real (the pitiful!) state of our souls.
Lord, we want You to eliminate Pharisaical spirit and we want You to reign in us. But all we can do now is fall upon Christ and beg You for that which we do not deserve. Cleanse us from this mask of religiosity, and give us hearts that do manifest true godliness.
For it is in His name we pray. Amen.
